I'm talking about the game, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective that was originally on the DS and is now on iOS(what the iDevices) run on. I got this game from the App Store for my iPod Touch and I'm loving it! None of my local Gamestops carried it, from what I remember, so I missed it for the DS.

So, if you're reading this and have an iDevice, I definitely recommend this game. It didn't become the iTunes' game of the week the day after it was released for nothing!

I just imported everything from my Livejournal here to my Dream Journal. There are some posts that I'll delete, like the "Writer's Block" posts, since the formatting went to shit on them. XD

Okay, this is the first of my posts about the Nintendo 3DS! I went to Best Buy this afternoon and they had a 3DS demo unit set up, replacing the DSi demo units.

So, here's my first impression...

Machine Demo'd: the Nintendo 3DS
Features tried out: 3D slider, touchscreen, stylus, the 3D itself, and analog slide pad
Game Played: Pilotwings(no choice there, since that's the game Nintendo's sending with the demo units to Best Buys)
Time played: Just a few minutes, since a couple of the guys who work at Best Buy had wanted to play with it, as well. XD;

My impression: It's completely awesome, and it's really in 3D! It's more of a depth 3D than the "pop out at you" 3D that you get in 3D movies. I wasn't able to test the angle to see exactly how far off center you can move it and still see the 3D, since it was fixed in one spot. When I get mine, I'll test it out. The 3D slider works really well in that, when you push it down for less 3D, all the way to 2D, you can see the background seem to move toward you until everything flattened out, and, when you move it upward to full 3D, the background seems to move away from you until everything has depth. Also, the graphics are really crisp, even in 2D mode; one definitely shouldn't use screenshots to judge the machine's graphical capabilities. In full 3D mode, I felt like I could reach into the game and grab the plane's tail.

The touchscreen...well, that's pretty much unchanged from the regular DS, so there's really nothing to say about it. The new stylus, on the other hand is pretty neat. It's telescoping, so, if you need a longer stylus to fit your hand better, you can extend it for better comfort. The analog slide pad moves pretty smoothly and isn't at all awkward.

I didn't get a chance to test the speakers, so I'll test that and everything else I didn't get a chance to this time and post about it.

So, all in all, I'm glad I pre-ordered this machine, since it's pretty cool.

Part of this post is to say I'm still alive. ^^;

Anyway, I have a few Wiiware/Wii Virtual Console reviews that will make up my next few posts. Now that I have Wi-Fi, I was able to get my Wii online with it(yes, I've surfed the Interwebs with my Wii...I think I prefer my trusty laptop for that). Maybe I'll try some of the online features of some of my Wii games, but the novelty of objecting in Phoenix Wright by pointing at the tv with the Wiimote hasn't worn off yet.

So, my next few posts will be on:

- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Wiiware Edition
- Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations Wiiware Edition
- Harvest Moon Virtual Console Edition

I might combine the two Phoenix Wright posts into one since they'd pretty much be the same, and I'm sort of playing them both at the same time. Yes, I got them even though I own the DS versions. XD;

On another note, after the announcement of Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, I decided to give the Professor Layton games a try so the crossover will make more sense if/when it comes to the US. They're pretty fun if you like brain-bending puzzles.

Well, that's all for now, so see y'all around!

Okay, so I watched part of Nintendo's presentation at E3(I DVR'd it to watch later) and there are a few things I'm excited for:

- Zelda: Skyward Sword - made entirely for the Wii, this game will use the Wii Motion Plus for full motion controls(you can swing Link's sword in, literally, any direction), and the Nunchuk controls the shield(maybe I can finally use the shield to smash enemies in the face). I wanted this game since it was announced. *lifelong Zelda fangirl*

- the 3DS - I love my pretty blue original DS, but this looks awesome. It plays games in full 3D(no looking like a doofus with 3D glasses), and you can determine how much 3D(from full to none at all). It has three camera lenses; one on the inside and two on the outside that can take 3D pictures, and the system can display them in 3D. It also has motion-sensing(a la the Wii-mote) and something that seems akin to the PSP's analog nub. This is the first system I wanted as soon as I saw its announcement.

- Related to the 3DS - Is it bad that I have Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence(MGS: Snake Eater plus extras)on the PS2 and, yet, I still want MGS: Snake Eater 3D on the 3DS? Also, it hasn't been officially announced, but, could there be a 3DS remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time?

Heh...literally.

This is really more of a "I'm still alive! D:" post, but, this morning, we had a bit of a plumbing emergency(understatement). Mom was taking a shower and the sound of the toilet bubbling woke me and our oldest cat up, and, when I got up to investigate, brown, smelly sewer water came out of the toilet, flooding the bathroom.

Well, the sewer line was unclogged, but, the carpet(along with my trashcan and a plunger that I had next to the toilet because it's depressingly easy to clog the toilet), part of the drywall, and the cabinet are a loss. They removed the parts of the carpet that had been soaked and the rest of the carpet in my room will be removed, along with my cabinet, tomorrow, and we're just going to tile the bathroom floor and go ahead with plans to replace the carpet downstairs.

Anyway, that's my update, and I'll try to post more often. ^^;

Okay, I'm going to be moving a few fics(both newer and older ones) here so I can continue them. ^^;

I'll start with my Gintama one-shot.

Title: Looking Through the Tears
Author: me
Rating: PG
Pairing: Hijikata x Okita
Summary: Hijikata helps Okita deal with a tragedy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Gintama, I'm only borrowing the guys for my own nefarious/perverted purposes. If I owned it, Gintoki x Hijikata x Okita would be a canon love triangle.
Warnings: Spoilers for episodes 86 and 87
The fic, it be here! )

***Feel free to skip over this if you don't really care about what's going on in RL for me***

The boring RL stuff is here, if you want to read it... )
Well, this is more of an "I'm still alive!" post than an actual update. So, feel free to skip over this post to more interesting ones on your F-lists. I know I'm not that interesting, after all. ;)

Okay, while waiting for my copy of the second Death Note DS game to get here from Japan, I decided to finish Story Mode in Death Note: Kira Game. Even though the text is in Japanese, it's still possible to play the game. Here's how I did it:

Okay, before I get to the "srs bzns", Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit will be returning to Adult Swim this summer!

Now, to the flu:

My town, which was pretty much an "H1N1 flu free zone" since the outbreak began, is now reporting its first probable case. Well, I'm not overly concerned. Compared to the regular flu season, this is nothing, and people without any underlying health problems and aren't in the groups that are usually hit hardest by the flu(young children and infants, the elderly, and people with immune system problems), are recovering from it.

So, of course the media is going to make it sound worse than it really is and make people panic. Instead of panicking, just do what I do: live normally, if you don't get it, great, if you do, then so be it. If you're healthy, you'll be sick for a little while, then recover. If you start coughing and you're running a fever, go see the doctor.

The usual precautions taken during regular flu season apply here:

- Sneeze or cough into your arm instead of your hand
- Wash your hands frequently
- Don't touch your eyes, mouth, or nose with your hands after touching something after someone else. Wash your hands first.
- Don't buy into the media's attempts to create a panic

I swear, when ever a new (or, in the case of MRSA, not so new) disease shows up, the media blows it way out of proportion and creates a panic. I'm still waiting for the Avian Flu pandemic they were panicking about a few years ago.

Title: Downward Spiral
Chapter: 3 of God knows how many
Fandom: Code Geass
Pairing: SuzakuxLelouch
Rating: PG-13 for now, NC-17 later on
Warnings: Death and very depressed Lelouch and AU. Also, unbeta'd.
Summary: What would happen if Nunnally died before Lelouch got his Geass?
Previous chapters: Use the tags

Here be the fic! )
Liked it? Hated it? Wish I would stop writing it? Let me know(except for the last one. I'm determined to finish it)!

Posting this as a way of taking a short break from reading The Taking by Dean Koontz. His books are weird, scary, and sometimes grotesque, but I love them! Hmm...I think I need to clean up my tags to get rid of the tags that answering Writer's Block questions put in my tags list. Anyway, on that random thought, here's the chapter. ^^;

Title: Downward Spiral
Chapter: 2 of God knows how many
Fandom: Code Geass
Rating: PG-13 for now, very likely NC-17 later on
Pairing: SuzakuxLelouch
Disclaimer: Still don't own Code Geass. If I did, ya'll know that it would be one long PWP, and unairable on anything other than HBO or Cinemax. X3
Warnings: Death and depressing stuff ahead. Also, it's AU and unbeta'd
Summary: What if Nunnally died before Lelouch got his Geass?

This "review" is for two games this time: "Code Geass DS" and Death Note: Kira Game.

Okay, so, this afternoon, I needed some new shoes, so we went to go get some. I'll never understand why the shoe companies insist on putting pink on most of the women's shoes. Not all women like pink(like me. I just plain don't like pink). So, we ended up looking in the men's shoes and found a pair and tried to figure out what size in men's shoes correspond to my women's 8.5(we got an 8 and they fit pretty well).

Afterward, we went to the grocery to get a few things(yes, I am going somewhere with this ^^; ), and, on the way out, I got a cinnamon roll(with cream cheese icing...yum) to eat in the car on the way home(I wasn't driving). Anyway, to keep from smearing the icing too much, I held the little bag the roll was in by one corner. Looking at it, I realized that I was holding it like L from Death Note...same hand position and everything. XD

To make the story short, I ended up eating the cinnamon roll like him, too, except without a fork. The funny thing is, when I do a Death Note RP, I tend to be Light(if anyone wants/needs an evil, but possibly redeemable Light, contact me. I'll even do those multifandom RPs and I'll do any pairing with Light. I'm not picky with my porn XD).

That wasn't really relevant to anything, but, oh well. I'll try to add another chapter to Betrayal and I might try a Death Note fic, as well. ^^;

So, Obama's now, officially, the President of the United States. Even though I'm a Republican(seriously, this country needs a Conservative Party. The Republicans have been acting like Democrats for the past 8 years), and would've preferred this inauguration to be McCain's, I'm not going to scream, stamp my feet(hmm...that was my reaction on election night back in November. I quickly got over it, though), or blame everything bad that happens on Obama(you know, like the Democrats have been doing for the past 8 years). Like the vast majority of Republicans(obviously, I'm not speaking for everyone), I'm going to give Obama a chance. If he does well(i.e: upholds the Constitution, doesn't hand this country over to the terrorists on a silver platter, etc.), then I'll keep supporting him; if he doesn't, then I'll oppose him.

Fellow Republicans, regardless of what you think of the man, he is the President. So, just give him a chance. Let's show the Democrats that we're more "grown-up" than they are(if I recall correctly, they were attacking Bush in every conceivable way before he took office when he was first elected and haven't stopped yet).

To all Democrats/Liberals: Attacking me for the statement immediately above this one will only result in flames and scorn from me. I'm frankly tired of dealing with smug Dems right now.

Okay, so today was library day, and, for some reason, when I caught sight of my PSP, it suddenly popped into my mind to take it along so I can try to surf the internet with it. My train of thought was probably "Okay, the library has free Wi-Fi access and the PSP has the ability to go on the internet and my PSP's case is small and tough enough to fit in my tote bag. I'm taking it along." So I did.

After I got my books(I checked out a bunch of manga, along with a couple of novels. The library, along with scanlations, is where I find new manga series to read), I decided to try connecting to the internet while waiting for Mom to finish getting her stack of books. So, I found a comfy chair to lounge in, got out my PSP and tried to connect. It worked. Since "typing" on a PSP can be tedious(anyone who has a PSP, open the web browser and hit X to enter a URL and you'll see what I mean), I didn't go anywhere that required a lot of it.

As it turns out:

- I can't watch videos on Youtube(the PSP apparently doesn't have Java support), but no biggie
- I can barely browse Livejournal (*gasp* How will I live?! Oh wait...I can just save it for when I'm home)
- I can visit and post messages on my messageboard (FMA Mania, it's linked in my profile or my journal. You have to register to view anything besides the "register or sign in" page). I posted a message there(in my spam section) saying that I was on the PSP.

That's all I had time for before we had to leave. I'll have to go through my bookmarks and copy a few links down for the next time we go to the library. XD

Title: Betrayal
Fandom: Code Geass
Rating: Possibly R for violence. It is a rebellion, after all
Warnings: Un-beta'd, possible suckage because this is my first CG fic, and therefore my first time writing these characters(and therefore, possible OOC-ness). Slight season 1 episode 25 spoilers.
Summary: Suzaku feels betrayed by Lelouch because he turned out to be his enemy.

Lelouch is laughing at my attempt at a Code Geass fic )

Yes, this is just the prologue. I originally set out to write a one-shot, but it wanted to be a multi-chaptered fic about halfway through. So I made this a prologue. ^^;
