Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
First off, I'm going to try and tag my posts(I did a little housecleaning a little while back, cleaning out my doujinshi posts, since the download links for each doujin are long expired). Posts like this one are going to be tagged as "games", my writings will be tagged under the names of the stories(I think I already started tagging those).
Anyway, on with the subject of this post, and that's Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, which I am currently playing. So far, I'm enjoying it almost as much as the Phoenix Wright games. The same game mechanics from the original trilogy are present, except that the extra investigation stuff from the last case of the first game are certainly present here, with a few added. For instance, you can now take shoeprints by creating plaster molds of the footprint you want to analyze and you can identify who the shoe belongs to. That's in addition to taking fingerprints and spraying a bloodstain with Luiminol to determine what the victim was trying to write.
With the Perceive system, you can determine if a witness is lying by watching for their nervous habits when they're trying to hide something.
All in all, it's an enjoyable game that would've been better if they'd left Phoenix out of it.
Also, I now have a second favorite prosecutor for this series in Klavier. This game will certainly tide me over for when/if they release Gyakuten Kenji(a.k.a: Turnabout Prosecutor or Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor...I want that game!). Either that or I'll just play Gyakuten Saiban 3 again(I tend to refer to Trials and Tribulations by its Japanese name because I got impatient and imported it when it was delayed)...specificially the last case. ^^;
