Mini-review: Rune Factory

Okay, I've actually had this one for a little while, and never got around to posting my views on it. Well, since I decided to take a short break from FMA: Sonata of Memory(despite being in Japanese, it's a very fun game) and Gyakuten Saiban 3(I imported it, so I'm using the Japanese name...this is Ace Attorney 3: Trials and Tribulations), to get back to playing Rune Factory.

Well, all in all, it's a fun game. You can, literally, do whatever you want in this game. If you want to just farm, you can. If you want to be an adventurer and explore the various caves(the only "farming" requirement for opening the caves is that some of them require that you till a certain number of spaces in the cave and defeat the boss. If you want to do both(which is what I'm doing. My guy's a "combat farmer" XD), you can.

This game is very addicting(like every other Harvest Moon), and, despite being considered a spin-off of sorts, it's still a Harvest Moon game once you strip away the RPG elements, including the weapons you can get from the blacksmith.

If you're a Harvest Moon fan, then I definitely recommend this game. If you're not, but like RPGs, then you might like the RPG elements to the game, but, don't get the other HM games and expect them to be exactly like this one. If you're not sure whether you'll like the game, rent it, first, if you can, or, if you have a friend who has the game, borrow it from them(or even try to find a used copy for cheap).

(NOTE: Jen doesn't have wi-fi, and, so, can't do a review of the wi-fi features in this game. ^^; )
