Annoyance
Why is it that, whenever I go into a restaurant and order a burger and tell them to not put any tomatoes on it, they don't listen? Luckily, I trust them about as far as I can spit and I'm not allergic to tomatoes; I just don't like them(yet I like pizza, ketchup, spaghetti, and other things that are made with cooked tomatoes...except salsa, but that's for an entirely different reason). I swear, it's getting to the point where I have to add "I'm allergic to tomatoes" in order to get the sandwich I want. The worst was in a Denny's when we were living in San Antonio, TX, and I ordered a salad(*gasps* yes, Jen actually ordered a salad...but it was in a crispy taco shell), and told them to hold the tomatoes. When the salad arrived, no tomatoes were visible on top of the salad...that's because they hid the tomatoes on the bottom of the salad. I spent most of dinnertime picking out tomatoes and I was too hungry to send it back. If I were allergic to tomatoes, the salad would've been like eating poison.
Why don't they just listen to the customer instead of making "tomato haters" feel like they're some kind of space alien? I don't want to have to lie and say I'm allergic to make sure I get the sandwich I want(no, we don't eat out all that much, which makes this kind of inattentiveness all the more annoying). I think that's why I love Subway...they make it exactly like you want it.
